Bikepacking Tour du Mont Blanc with James Hayden

The Tour du Mont Blanc is an iconic route, circumnavigating the pinnacle of Europe. While the peak drops in and out of sight, the presence is felt. Famous for the running race, UTMB, you can cycle parts of the route most of the year. Though often very busy with hikers, I took the opportunity during COVID to ride the route set out on Bikepacking.com, knowing the trails would be quieter, allowing more enjoyment. For me, being in the mountains is about freedom, the ability to disconnect from modern technology and reconnect with nature. My Canyon Neuron was the perfect companion for the tough climbs and technical descents, I had a blast.
